HARDEST BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
While COVID-19 keeps the whole world in its grip, the current Lockdown in India has left thousands of daily-wage workers helpless. These people have lost their income overnight and with food prices rising, they are struggling to survive and are at the risk of falling into extreme poverty and starvation. On top of that they are at increased risk of being exposed to the virus because they reside in the slums where maintaining hygiene and social distancing is nearly impossible.
At Yeshua Ministries we want to provide families, who are in desperate need, with a ration-package of 6 basic daily supplies (rice, lentils, flour, oil, milk and salt) worth 500 Indian Rupees (apprx $6.50 USD) for 2000 families that will last them for about two weeks until this lockdown is lifted.

Vision Rescue
Even in non-pandemic times Vision Rescue daily feeds and educates hundreds of slum children in Mumbai. Since the lockdown Vision Rescue has already handed out nearly 100,000 meals and a month’s worth of ration to 200 families in different slums in Mumbai.
NLMET
NLMET (New Life Medical & Educational Trust) has been working in the Malwani slum in Malad (one of the most notorious slums in Mumbai) for the last 30 years. From their facility they have been distributing ration packets to families in need in their area.

Life for Chris Ministries is based in Balangir, Orissa and reaches out to pastor’s families in remote areas who were dependent on tithes and offering from their congregations. These are the real heroes, bringing the gospel at the front lines. Facing daily persecution and now on top of that, hunger.
